    1. I think you're past the point of saving. Tell me what to do.
    2. Dexterity Gently prise the brain from the skull.

On success: Spare the creature so it stays at full strength, then finish with "All right, let's go."

  4. Exit west again and recruit Lae'zel (dialogue choices don't matter).
    FightImps

    Strategy

    • Open with ranged attacks from your main character.
    • Have Us and Lae'zel rush the nearest imps.
    • Focus individual targets to keep the action economy in your favour.

After the fight, loot everything. Give the Rapier to your main character and pick up two light crossbows (Shadowheart + MC). If you only find one, hand it to Shadowheart.

  5. Climb up to the next chamber and continue forward.
  6. Use the right-hand console to blast the enthralled soldiers before they turn hostile.
  7. Move east, loot the nearby corpse for a key, and grab the rune from the dead thrall deeper in the room.
  8. Double back to free Shadowheart, then open the chest with the key you just found.
  9. Equip Shadowheart with a light crossbow.
  10. Adjust Shadowheart's prepared spells—remove Inflict Wounds and add Command.
  11. Advance into the command bridge to trigger the final encounter.
Commander ZhalkBoss Fight

Primary goal: Get off the nautiloid. Kill Commander if you can for earlier level up, but don't get yourself killed.

  • Eliminate the hellboard gunner and nearby imp as you close the distance.
  • When Shadowheart is in range (usually round 2–3), cast Command (Drop) on Zhalk. Grab his sword immediately if he fumbles it—equip Lae'zel if you have the action.
  • Send Lae'zel and Us to lock Zhalk down while your protagonist and Shadowheart clear the reinforcements.
  • Keep your main character near the escape console but close enough to pepper Zhalk with ranged attacks.
  • Once Zhalk falls, hit the console to end the sequence. If the fight slips away, don't hesitate—trigger the console to avoid a wipe.
