Act 3: Lower City
Step-by-Step Walkthrough
- First things first, we're gonna upgrade our gear as much as we can before starting any fights.
- Stormshore Tabernacle
- In the SW corner is a hatch, lockpick it when the shopkeeper's back is turned (or talk to him with another character to make him turn away)
- Go downstairs with MC and Shadowheart
- Go past the traps to find a chest with a necklace in it
- Come back to the ladder, but don't go upstairs yet
- You'll notice you've been cursed for stealing this.
- When both characters are right next to the ladder, remove curse with Shadowheart
- This will spawn a deva, so just go up the ladder to escape the fight
- Elfsong Tavern Head west 1 building to the tavern. You can talk to Alan the bartender and buy a room, this opens up a better camp than sleeping on the street (but is optional)
- Forge of the Nine Keep going west to see Dammon at his forge. I bought boots of persistence for MC and gave the disintigrating nightwalkers to Lae'zel.
- Devil's Fee Head west again to the next building. You'll have to convince her to show you the good stuff. Interact with the Monster Horns, the black diamons in the east, and the monsters skull up front. This should open some dialogue options to get better gear. I got gemini gloves and cloak of the weave for Lae'zel. You can also convince her to break you into the house of hope. Just use persuasion and agree to give her an artifact instead of gold.
- Go south past the waypoint to Stormshore Armory. Buy Deadshot from the dwarf, and armor of agility from the other guy for MC.
- Go east into Sorcerous Sundries. We're almost done, hopefully you got some gold left. You can convince this guy to give you taxes, to get a little bit back. Get Vest of Soul Rejuvenation for Astarion. You can get ring of regeneration if someone needs a ring, free health is always good.
- Bonecloak's Apothecary They sell Elixir of Cloud Giants Strength. You can stock up on some in a long rest cycle like with Ethel, or just come buy one everytime you long rest. It will give Astarion some more damage.
- Philgrave's Mansion Final stop! You can get the hood of the weave for Lae'zel if you want
- Despite what I just said, you have 1 more thing you can do. Head to the west to the Facemaker's Boutique. You can buy some dye and finally start showing some style, now that our armor is mostly set! We still have some upgrades coming, but we are pretty set on a lot of the pieces now. You should be feeling a bit stronger!
